バルブの開閉は、バルブの外側にあるノブやダイヤルを回して行います。この動作により、バルブ内のステムまたはレバーが動き、ダイヤフラムの位置を制御します。バルブが開くとダイヤフラムが持ち上げられ、ガスがバルブを通って流れるようになります。バルブが閉じると、ダイアフラムが押し下げられ、ガスの流れが遮断されます。
